You Are Welcome Here
In our Kwak’wala language, Tsakwa‘lutan (Sa-qua-loo-tin) means “gathering place.”
It doesn’t matter where you started or where you come from, at Tsakwa‘lutan Healing Centre, we’re glad you’re here. Our doors are open to individuals from all walks of life, embracing the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and stories that shape each person’s journey. We believe that healing thrives in a supportive and inclusive environment, where every individual feels valued, respected, and seen.
Our team will guide and empower you to rise above your addiction, recover, and reclaim your life. We value genuine conversation and are committed to working together to build a recovery plan that works for you. We believe in the importance of listening to your goals, commitments, and concerns to inform your journey—and we are with you every step of the way.
At Tsakwa‘lutan, we combine traditional Indigenous knowledge and evidence-based practices to support addiction recovery. We recognize the deep connection that flows through all of us, intertwining with nature. Here, you will find the connection and support you need to help you get to where you want to be.
Your Path to Recovery
We believe the best chance for long-term addiction recovery is a program that addresses all aspects of health—the body, the mind, the spirit, and the community.
Our meaningfully crafted addiction treatment and recovery programs are part of a coordinated system of care that includes you, your family, and your referral source. The Tsakwa‘lutan Healing Centre team is committed to providing regular communication with those closest to you, but only with your permission. We believe that communication and building connections with family, friends, and community is an important part of your recovery journey. Please note that you do not need to be referred by a medical professional to seek treatment with us.
Our goal for you is permanent abstinence from mood-altering behaviours or chemicals, and an improved lifestyle so that you can set and achieve your personal goals. Respect for our clients is the cornerstone of our treatment program. We’re glad you’re here and recognize your strength in taking the first step in a life-long journey toward wellness and health.
